OG Kush Seeds History

OG Kush Seeds has become a legendary strain that has even entered into the dominion of public awareness outside of the marijuana community. Despite this notoriety, the OG Kush Strain lineage remains somewhat of a mystery. Many believe that it’s a hybrid of the breeding staple Chemdawy and one of the hardy Hindu Kush strains, others believe that it is just a random undocumented bag of the seed of an existing strain and has despite this appropriation, has become known as its own distinct phenotype. The meaning of the “OG Kush” weed name is also under some dispute, theories vary from the OG moniker standing for “original gangster”-relating to its old school origins of a building block strain.  Others believe it’s derived from “ocean grown”-relating to its west coast California origins. Finally, others think it might relating back to a now-defunct website called “overgrown.com” that at one time served as an invaluable resource to many cannabis growers.

The one thing that cannot be denied is that potency of OG Kush Marijuana.   Its THC is always between 20 to 25% and produces medium to large nugget-like buds that are incredibly dense with an Indica-like structure.

Appearance

OG Kush Cannabis leaves are typically yellow with some derivatives having traces of purple. Sometimes growers have seen bright orange pistils-for catching pollen from male plants -which creates a beautiful juxtaposition of these other colors.

OG Kush Weed buds have a silvery-white appearance and can be very sticky to the touch when preparing to roll or put in a pipe or vape. Users may want to use a grinder as part of their preparation.

OG Kush Weed, when properly cured will have a citrus scent that evokes brightness and energy. When the buds are ignited or broken open, a pine-like odor emits and when smoked OG weed commonly evokes coughing and watery eyes. The smoke has a spicy as you would find with a classic Indica-both on the inhale and the exhale. Users will find that the OG Kush smell will linger -so caution to those looking to be discrete.

Effects

Typically users report that the high that is experienced is more of a head-rush than a physical “body” stone. Often an increased awareness of surroundings, sounds, and scenery is reported-with a sense of heightened perception. A gradual increase towards uplift and euphoria is also a common progression. This strain is particularly good for social interaction-parties and other gatherings. It’s also a great way to enhance both mental and physical activities including work, hobbies, and even sex. OG Kush has medical applications towards relieving anxiety and depression and reducing the compulsion to worry about the past or stress about the future. It also may be a powerful tool to those suffering from attention disorders, orientation those to better focus.   Keep in mind, though, as with other Sativa varieties, higher doses can lead to feelings of pa

Growing OG Kush

The OG Kush for sale at Farmers Lab Seeds can be grown indoors and outdoors -with outdoor growing requiring temperatures around 76 degrees Fahrenheit.

Since the plant is short and bushy, it lends itself to be grown indoors as well -usually never reaching a height more than 4 feet. Be sure to top and trim the plant consistently to ensure light and air reach flowering nodes on lower branches.

Plants typically flower within 9 weeks when grown indoors and can yield 45 grams (1.6 ounces) per square foot. Because of the pungent smell, indoor growers would be wise to invest in carbon air filters or exhaust fans.

OG Kush seeds for sale on the Farmers Lab Seeds site are good for both day and early evening.
